Rob Porter is a Project Manager within the Advanced Technology Team at Sony’s European Professional Engineering division based in Basingstoke, United Kingdom. Rob has been with Sony for over 20 years and has worked on a range of areas including computer vision algorithms, video encoding and picture stitching. His current main area of interest is on the transition to networked and Cloud-based architectures for professional media with particular focus on the control layer.
