Conrad is the Technical Architect at Radió Teilifis Éireann (RTÉ), the public service broadcaster in Ireland, where he is leading on modernising and transforming RTÉ’s technology architecture as part of the ongoing digital transformation in the organisation.
Conrad works with the CTO and other stakeholders to develop the technology strategy, ensuring that projects deliver strategic value and are aligned to the technology roadmap. Conrad has led the development of several systems and solutions that are central to RTÉ embracing the cloud, and which have led to significant cost savings and efficiencies.
Previously, Conrad was Senior Systems Engineer in RTÉ’s technology infrastructure team where he designed and supported critical broadcast, media management and playout systems.
Prior to joining RTÉ, Conrad worked for Creative Technologies Ireland, the leading provider of professional audio-visual and broadcast technology systems in Ireland. Conrad was instrumental in the design, delivery and support of studio, production, post-production and broadcast facilities for a wide variety of clients including broadcasters, production companies, sports stadiums, universities, and the Irish parliament.
Conrad started his career in media running the technical operations of City Channel TV, a local TV station in Dublin. As well as maintaining the studio facilities and post-production network, Conrad designed innovative new workflows to allow production teams to make content on really tight budgets.
